On May 13, 2022, on the occasion of the “Billion Trees” national campaign and universal tree planting day, 5,000 trees with a complete irrigation system were planted on 1.5 hectares of land near Gegeen Lake, Bayanjargalan Soum, Tuv Province.

In the area, 5,000 trees will be fenced and protected, and regular irrigation and maintenance will be carried out using sprinklersand drip irrigation methods with the help of two caretakers.

In the future, this work will be expanded into a comprehensive project, and company management has set the goal of creating a park around the lake and a tree nursery by increasing its number by 5,000 trees every year.

The key feature of planting trees in the vicinity of Gegeen Lake is that it follows the lake and is close to the water, allowing for the opportunity to resolve the irrigation system, and the willow growing along the main lake will enable the planting of trees such as elm, maple, aspen, and fir that are suitable for the climate.

A team of more than 80 people from management and employees of Bodi International LLC and its subsidiary Tsetsens Mining and Energy LLC participated in this campaign to prove that “treeless land can be afforested.”
