The Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsuhait railway complex project implemented by Bodi International LLC for two years was highlighted by Railway Gazette International, the most prestigious magazine in the world’s railway industry.
An article about the Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsuhait railway project was published in the June 2022 issue of the magazine under the title “Gobi coal exports poised to switch to rail”.
Railway Gazette International magazine highlighted the project, “Despite significant delays caused by the pandemic and a challenging local climate, commissioning of the Railway infrastructure is as scheduled, in July. The project, exclusively conducted by Mongolians themselves, is a highly important strategic project to transfer the export of Tawantolgoi coal mine, one of the world’s largest coking coal mines, from paved road to rail.”
Furthermore, it emphasized that by facilitating cross-border coal transportation by rail, it is possible to double coal export of Mongolia while reducing the cost of transporting coal from the mine to the border by 75 percent, and it eliminates many problems such as soil and air pollution, accidents, and livestock overgrazing.
